Are you an internationally-minded student who is looking for something besides your studies but that will also allow you to get a huge CV boost? Are you open-minded, ready to meet new people from all over the world and ready for another amazing year in Nijmegen?

ISN Nijmegen is looking for new board members from the next academic year, 2018/2019. As a board member, you will be able to organize several different types of activities, or organize the finances or partnerships of our growing association! We offer seven different board positions for the upcoming year (for a full overview per function, please scroll further down):

  • Partnership Manager


Any student enrolled in Radboud University and HAN University of Applied Sciences is welcome to apply. It does not matter whether you are an international student or Dutch. You can apply for a board position until May 15th, 23:59 Central European Summer Time (GMT+2). Your application should include a maximum of 1 A4 application letter and a CV. Please make sure to include information on why you would want to do a board year and which earlier experiences you already have. President
As a president, you are responsible for a wide variety of tasks. On the one hand, the President is in charge of the board and for making sure that everything runs smoothly. It is the President’s job to check up on board members, and ensure that they are still both productive and happy. The President also prepares the agenda of the board meetings and will be the chair for these meetings. Furthermore, the President makes sure that the contact with major stakeholders and partners goes well, and oversees the design and implementation of the organisation.

Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for a lot of (internal) communication. The Secretary is in charge of all the e-mail communication, the newsletter and writing the minutes of every board meeting and general member meeting. Furthermore, the Secretary takes care of the member administration, the application for grants and project proposals and other relevant administrative matters. We encourage anyone interested in becoming a Secretary to apply. However, it is preferred to know some Dutch.

Treasurer
The Treasurer is in charge of all financial matters of the organisation. Treasurer creates a yearly budget, manages the bank account and financial activities of the organisation. Furthermore, the Treasurer helps the committees in their budgets. Halfway the year and at the end of the year, the Treasurer provides a financial overview.

PR Manager
The PR Manager is in charge of all marketing activities, both online and offline. This includes the management of the website and social media channels, but also the presence on campus and promotion events. The PR Manager creates promotional materials and guides the PR Committee.

  • Communication and promotion skills


Committee Manager
The main task of the Committee Manager is to make sure that all committees run smoothly. This does not mean that the Committee Manager has to take seat in every committee, but surely keeps in close contact with all of them. The Committee Manager makes sure that all the committee members have the right skills and sets up workshops for committees. Where necessary, the Committee Manager will step up and help out the committees.

Partnership Manager
The Partnership Manager upholds the relation with partners and sponsors. It is the task of the Partnership Manager to arrange discounts and special deals through the ESNcard with local businesses. The Partnership Manager is also responsible for additional fundraising events. The Partnership Manager is in charge of the Acquisition Committee. We encourage anyone interested in becoming a Partnership Manager to apply. However, it is preferred to know some Dutch.

Integration Manager
The Integration Manager is in charge of organising and managing events and projects targeted at the integration of international students. The Integration Manager works with ESN on projects such as Social Erasmus and Mov’in Europe. Furthermore, the Integration Manager organises projects on a local basis aimed at serving international students experiencing problems with living in and feeling at home in the Netherlands. The Integration Manager is in charge of the Buddy and Integration Committee.
