BECOME A ISN NIJMEGEN BOARDIE 2019-2020

Have you always wondered about what it feels like to be behind the scenes of the main parties, cultural exchanges and social gatherings in Nijmegen? Are you an internationally-minded student who is looking for something besides your studies but that will also allow you to get a huge CV boost? Are you open-minded, ready to meet new people from all over the world and ready for another amazing year in Nijmegen?

ISN Nijmegen is looking for new board members for the next academic year, 2019-2020.

Any student enrolled in Radboud University and HAN University of Applied Sciences is welcome to apply. It does not matter whether you are an international student or Dutch, and whether you are already a member of ISN Nijmegen or not. Applications must consist of a resume with a photo and a motivation letter and be send to applicationcommittee@isnnijmegen.nl. Applications will be considered up to and including 21 April 2019.

General board positions

All the committees have a board responsible person. Specifically The Partnership Manager, the PR Manager, and the Integration manager are in charge of a committee that helps them with their function specific tasks. The other committees have a board responsible person with a different position, this is distributed at the beginning of the academic year. 

President 

The President is in charge of the board and of making sure that everything runs the way it should. The President makes the agendas for each board meeting and general member meetings, with that will also chair those meetings. Besides that, the President represents ISN Nijmegen both within the Radboud University and HAN University of Applied Sciences, within ESN NL and for other major stakeholders invested in the organisation. The President is also in charge of overseeing the design and implementation of the policy of the association. Do you have any questions for our current president or want to know more about her tasks? Secretary 

The Secretary is responsible for all internal communication. The Secretary writes the minutes of the board meetings and general member meetings. The Secretary is also in charge of the general email communication, the application for grants and project proposals, writing the monthly newsletter and for all kinds of administrative tasks. Do you have any questions for our current secretary or want to know more about her tasks? Treasurer 

The Treasurer is in charge of all financial matters of the organisation, including creating a yearly budget, paying bills, managing the bank account and the cash register, creating budgets for committees, and providing a financial report at the end of every semester. Do you have any questions for our current treasurer or want to know more about her tasks? PR manager 

The PR Manager is responsible for all online and offline marketing activities. This includes the management of the website and social media channels, but also the presence during promotion events. These tasks can be shared with the PR & Graphics Committee but will remain under the supervision of the PR Manager. Do you have any questions for our current PR manager or want to know more about her tasks? Internal Affairs Manager  

The main task of the Internal Affairs Manager is to make sure that all committees run smoothly. The Internal Affairs Manager does not have to sit in every committee meeting but will keep in regular contact with all of them. He or she will provide workshops for active members on topics that they need more information about and will help them out if needed. Furthermore, the Internal Affairs Manager is responsible for creation awareness of the internal well-being in the board and the organization of teambuilding activities. Do you have any questions for our current internal affairs manager or want to know more about her tasks? Partnership Manager 

The Partnership Manager upholds the relation with commercial partners and sponsors. It is the task of the partnership manager to establish and maintain corporate partnerships, including discounts and special deals through the ESNcard with local businesses. The Partnership Manager will also be in charge of the acquisition committee, which helps to set-up new partnerships. Do you have any questions for our current partnership manager or want to know more about his tasks? External Relations Manager 

The External Relations Manager in charge of maintaining the relationship with the Radboud University, the HAN University of Applied Sciences, the faculties, and other institutes linked to the universities. Furthermore, the External Relations Manager is in charge of the contact with other study and student associations in Nijmegen. For example, when ISN Nijmegen collaborates with another institute for an event, the External Relations Manager is the one to maintain the contact with the institute. Also, the External Relations Manager is often asked to express his/her opinion about internationalization to the Universities. Do you have any questions for our current external relations manager or want to know more about her tasks? Integration Manager

The Integration Manager is in charge of organising and managing events and projects targeted at the social integration of Dutch and international students. This includes international ESN projects such as Mov’in Europe (https://movineurope.esn.org) and Social Erasmus (https://socialerasmus.esn.org/). In order to facilitate this integration the integration manager serves as a direct contact person for (international) students who are experiencing problems with living and feeling at home in the Netherlands or meeting Dutch students. The Integration Manager can share these tasks with the Integration Committee and the Language Exchange Committee. Do you have any questions for our current integration manager or want to know more about her tasks?
